Skin Cancer Reconstructive Surgery
Skin cancer is unfortunately an increasingly frequent disease, with over a million new cases reported each year. While it can be fatal (rarely), many cases, especially those detected early, can cured. However, after skin cancer is removed, it can leave behind unsightly scars or deformities. Dr. Sterling, a board certified facial plastic surgeon, has extensive training in both the removal and reconstruction after facial skin cancer surgery. Often these lesions can be removed and completely reconstructed under local anesthesia conveniently in our office. If an out patient setting is necessary, then it can be scheduled at the patients’ convenience.
Dr. Sterling specializes in restoration of all small and large skin cancers and reconstruction of the defects using advancement/rotation flaps, skin grafts, and other appropriate techniques.
